Rapid Gallery is a modern, responsive image viewer for WordPress that opens selected images and galleries in an elegant lightbox experience. It supports gallery navigation, captions, thumbnails, counters, fullscreen mode, downloads, smooth animations, keyboard controls, swipe gestures, pinch zoom, double-tap zoom, and drag-to-pan for enlarged images. The module can also display the original uploaded image for maximum quality and keeps zooming focused on the user’s cursor, tap position, or pinch center.

The Rapid Gallery admin menu provides centralized control over how images and galleries are displayed in the frontend viewer. Administrators can configure the image source quality, overlay appearance, navigation controls, captions, thumbnails, animations, zoom, fullscreen mode, downloads, swipe gestures, looping, and background-click behavior. The settings apply consistently across all Image and Gallery blocks where Rapid Gallery is enabled.

To use Rapid Gallery, enable the module in the RapidUtils admin menu, then select an Image or Gallery block in the WordPress block editor and activate Open with Rapid Gallery from the toolbar or block settings sidebar. Visitors can open images in the responsive viewer and navigate with arrows, thumbnails, keyboard controls, swipe gestures, or touch controls. Zooming, dragging, fullscreen mode, captions, downloads, and other available features follow the options configured on the Rapid Gallery settings page.
